I agree. I know of populations of some rare subspecies/demos of butterflies
having been fumigated with insecticides after complete collecting of adults,
pupae, caterpillars and eggs by some prfessional collectors to make sure
that they were the only owners of the remainders of the subspecies, which
becomes a rarity and raises its price in the butterfly collecting market.
A really good business!
