Possibly free column editor for data files

I prefer KEDIT for editing on DOS systems.  It is   free,
but re  onably priced.  KEDIT has a lot in common with E Eh  XEDIT
for IBM mainframes, but additional features.  It has by far
the most sophisticated column/record editing tools       functions.  of
any editor I have ever used, on any platfomr  rm.
