We are very happy to announce The Biodiversity and Ecosystems NEtwork (BENE)
as a new BIN21 node.

BENE is designed to foster enhanced communications and collaborations among
those interested in biodiversity conservation and ecosystem protection,
restoration, and management. BENE is hosted at the W.M. Keck Center for
Genome Informatics at the Institute of Biosciences and Technology at Texas
A&M University.
      See URL http://straylight.tamu.edu/bene/bene.html

BENE includes the BENE listserver and webserver, plus Gopher, FTP, and
hypermail archives. The BENE founding partners are the W.M. Keck Center,
the U.S. National Performance Review NetResults project, the Smithsonian
Institution, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

BIN21 functions as a Special Interest Network and depends on the active
involvement of a wide range of participants and the active contribution of
information to achieve its goals. Thus the importance of this new partnership.

You may find the BIN21 home page at BENE at:
