Should TAXACOM be moderated?

I also have full confidence in Jim Beach's ability to filter the
traffic on TAXACOM to everyone's satisfaction. Behavior of other
moderated mailing lists, and the sci.bio.evolution newsgroup
(Usenet) amply demonstrates that a moderated forum can also be
rapid and spontaneous. By moderation policy, I think Jim intends
to exclude *only* subscription requests and wildly off-topic
solicitations, etc., and to do *no editing*, and I am more than
willing to have him apply such a filter to the TAXACOM traffic.
Yes, better Subject lines would be helpful.
