Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology

The Department is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Evolution.
Appointees will establish research programs, apply for external
research grants, supervise honours and postgraduate students and
contribute to undergraduate lectures, practicals and field
excursions. A PhD, undergraduate teaching experience and a good
record of scientific publications are essential. Appointments for 5
years on the Clayton campus commencing January 1996.

The aim of this position is to strengthen the Department's research
and teaching focus on micro-evolutionary processes in plants and/or
animals. Duties will include lecturing in evolution and systematics
at second year level. The ability to contribute to teaching in
plant biology would be an advantage.

SALARY RANGE:   Lecturer Level B
                        $42,198-$50,111 p a
