Richard Jensen compared the Lamiaceae problem to Danish Americans:
>So, this Danish American votes for "herbaceous Lamiaceae" as a succinct
>way to convey just what is meant.
but they are not the same. 'Herbaceous lamiaceans' is OK and = 'Danish
Americans'; 'herbaceous Lamiaceae' = 'Danish America' which could be
construed different ways and is not necessarily what is meant.
Although we know what is meant by 'herbaceous Lamiaceae', the original
question was about getting it right.
