                                1996 MEETINGS

                               December 6-8, 1996

Meetings Site: Most sessions will be held in the Life Sciences Building on
the main campus of the University of Louisville with the Saturday
afternoon sessions in the nearby Ekstrom Library and Collaborative
Learning Center.

Accomodations: Hotel accomodations have been arranged with the Days Inn
Downtown (101 E. Jefferson St., Louisville, KY 40202) at the rate of
$49/night, single or double occupancy.  This hotel is centrally located
approximately two miles from campus, six blocks from the Galt House Hotel,
and is convenient to a number of restaurants.  There is a restaurant on
the premises with a varied menu and a wide range of meal selections and
prices.  Complimentary airport shuttle service is available upon arrival
by calling the hotel. In addition, convenient streetcar service to ESA
functions and the Galt House hotel is available.

Reservations can be made by contacting the Days Inn at (502) 585 2200
[FAX: (502) 584 5647}.  A block of 50 rooms has been assigned and more can
be obtained if required.  The same rate are available through the entire

Transportation to the University of Louisville has been arrnaged with
Miller Transport Co. at the price of $5/day with 42 people/bus.  Please
indicate on the registration form whether you will require bus transport.

The pre-registration fee for ECN 1996 is $25 with the on-site
registration of $35.  Bus transport will be available for an additional
cost of $5/day.

Please make your check payable to Dr. David Furth and send to the address
listed below.  Please DO NOT make the check payable to ECN or the
Entomological Collections Network.  Otherwise the check will be returned
to you and you might not be eligible for the discount on registration.

Attached please find a program for your perusal.  Part of the afternoon
session has been allocated for a "hands on" session to work with actual
databases.  The program is pretty full at this point.  However, if you
have a sample database program that you would like to deonstrate and/or
have others try out during this session, please contact Jackie Miller ASAP
at (941) 355-8476  (jmiller at virtu.sar.usf.edu).  Technical specifications
for the classroom will be forwarded to you upon request.  Space in the lab
is somewhat limited, and any arrangement for this session must be made
prior to the meeting.
