Not restricted to SW Plants, the Meloid beetle (Meloidae) Cysteodemus
wislizeni is (was in the 60s-70s) common in the deserts in Southern Nevada.
Also a leopard lizard Crotophytus wislizeni... So that person had more than
plants named "in honor".
