Friends:

    Professor Jensen sez:

"Now it is designated as Quercus x heterophylla Michaux, and it is
not treated as a synonym of either parent."

I'm sort of wondering what yalls thoughts are on the
PRONUNCIATION or otherwise verbalized disposition of the "X". As
at a meeting, standing up in front of a bunch of people. I believe
there are various ways in which this is attempted, and some make more
sense than others--
