naming & types

"Blah blah blah. Indeed, I find the whole
practice of biologists naming species after each other rather
arrogant. Blah blah blah."



I rather enjoy naming species for my colleagues, for two reasons. First, I
think it does pay them some honor. Second, in an area where new species are
extremely abundant, it is much faster than having to think up a cutesy
descriptive proper Latin name.
