What are we going to do about this?

Doug Yanega might wish to look into the NSF-PEET program,
which is essentially what he is wishing for, together with a strong
emphasis on training new and competent alpha taxonomists. Also, grants
are up to five years in duration.
One round has been awarded, and I understand that ads for the
second round are in the works for a spring deadline. I hope Doug applies.
Please enquire about NSF Program DEB-PEET (94-109) to see the template
for the previous one.
The IS much room for optimism. Lets just keep the momentum
going!
