NEW POSITION at OREGON STATE UNIVERSITY
HAROLD E. and LEONA M. RICE PROFESSORSHIP IN SYSTEMATIC ENTOMOLOGY
(at the rank of Associate or Full Professor)
POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Department of Entomology at Oregon State
University seeks an internationally recognized systematic entomologist at
the forefront of this field with a currently active research program to
become the Harold E. and Leona M. Rice Professor of Systematic Entomology.
The endowment for this position provides support for research, teaching,
public outreach, and upgrading and curating the 2.5 million specimen
collection housed in the Systematic Entomology Laboratory (SEL). The
successful applicant is expected to show commitment to active research in
systematic entomology, to teaching systematics, including modern techniques
and concepts, and to direction and curation of the Systematic Entomology
QUALIFICATIONS: An earned Ph.D. in entomology or other biological science
SALARY: Salary will be commensurate with professional qualifications and
experience. Benefits will include state retirement; health, life and dental
insurance group plans; annual and sick leave.
