As Jacques Melot maintains, Alisma is also a Latin word being used by Pliny
(Lewis & Short 1984, p. 89). It is, however, correctly transliterated from
the Greek Alisma (not Halisma), that has the accent on *A* and a silent
aspiration mark not the one equivalent to the Latin H.
