Hybrid Speciation

It would be very nice if Ron Petersen (Univ. Tenn.) would add to this
discussion regarding fungi.  He has several interesting examples of taxa
that are treated as species and have been separated from each other geo-
graphically for ...well...very long periods of time, but have some
"reproductive memory" and can mate with probabilities that he has
established.  The mating produces viable, fertile offspring.  Some of his
percentages are very low...like 4% if I remember (between an Australian
and a North American species in Omphalotus).
