NAS/Evolution

I think its *about time* organized science 1) recognized the
potential danger of organized anti-evolution activity in education
and 2) actually did something about it.  Good for NAS.  Their rep.
(Kennedy?) on the PBS news yesterday (with excellent support from a
HS biology teacher) did a good job - at least from my perspective -
of presenting the case.  Too bad other professional groups, esp.
those associated with systematics, have provided such lame leadership
and support in this area.
