When in doubt try Mabberley's " The Plant-book."  I have always known the =
voodoo lily to be Sauromatum venosum [S. guttatum] in the Araceae. =
Mabberley says that it is sold as dry tubers that will produce an =
inflorescence without water. It is Bas Meeuse's favorite plant.  He =
studied it for years.  The appendix of the inflorescence heats up about =
