Each user does need a local copy of Intkey. The registration fee for Intkey
is $200 for the first user and $50 for each additional user at the same
institution. Data sets can also be licensed, and registration of Intkey is
not required for use with such data sets, several of which are available at
the DELTA Home Page, http://biodiversity.uno.edu/delta/. Also, some users
are exempt from registration fees. For details of fees and exemptions,
follow the link `Programs and Documentation' from the Home Page, and look at
`Conditions of use' and `Registration and order form'. The same information
is in the files Deltause.txt and Deltareg.txt, supplied with the program.

Also available from the `Programs and Documentation' page are links to other
interactive key programs, for example, PollyClave, which is Web-based, free,
and uses Intkey data files. The link `Programs for interactive
identification and information retrieval' contains a list of all such
programs of which I am aware. In assessing these programs, you might find it
useful to look at `Desirable attributes for interactive identification
programs'. Both of these documents are continually updated, and I would be
grateful for any corrections or additions.
