Herbarium labels

I heard from Ken Kailing about you. He said that you were looking for
software to produce herbarium labels and other? I'm not quite sure what he
means by "other". The system I sent him was written in Paradox for Windows
for the Univ. of Wisc. (WIs. taxa) as an "offsite" labeling system. It
makes labels and a 2 table relational database. Copies of these 2 tables
are sent to Madison with the specimens and merged into our full blown system.

I'm not quite sure what you need. There are several label making programs
out there. You could write to the TAXACOM bullitenboard
TAXACOM at cmsa.Berkeley.EDU and see if anyone there knows of specific
software and where to get it. You could also use a template design in any
word processor.

I know Univ. of MN has a database and I assume they must have some system
to make labels.

Let me know if I can help you in anyway. I could possibly give you a
similar system as to the one I gave Ken in exchange for duplicate specimens
or such. We could work something out.
