Palaearctic region is a bit larger (or smaller?). It includes Europe,
Northern part of Asia (not to include Southern part of Arabian penninsula,
India and South-East Asia), and the Northern coast of Africa (perhaps,
even the whole Sakhara desert [sorry, I do not know the English name of
this desert and use a direct transliteration rom Russian, it is the
greatest desert in the North of Africa]). It should be kept in mind that
the boundaries of zoogeographical regions never look like hairlines. We
can speak only of some areas of transition from one region to another.

Yours, Alexey
