AUSTRALIAN RESEARCH CENTRE FOR URBAN ECOLOGY (ARCUE)
RESEARCH OFFICER (URBAN ECOLOGY)

ARCUE is a major new agency being established by the Royal Botanic =
Gardens, with financial support from the Baker Foundation.  It will become =
a leader in scientific studies of biodiversity and ecological processes in =
urban natural areas.  ARCUE=A2s activities will encompass basic and =
applied research, postgraduate training and research, community education =
and consultancy services.

This exciting project requires an enthusiastic and self motivated research =
officer with a degree or diploma in science majoring in biology, and =
postgraduate or equivalent experience in plant taxonomy, ecology or =
natural resource management.

You will assist the Director in establishing and developing research, =
education and management programs, and contribute to the creation and =
management of an ecological research laboratory.  You will be based at =
Royal Botanic Gardens, Cranbourne and at the School of Botany at The =
University of Melbourne.=20
