I got an inquiry from one of my colleagues in the Biological
Anthropology Department, Tom Struhsaker, about a noxious weed that is
apparently taking over W. Africa. The name he gave me is Chromolaena
(Eupatorium) odorata. It's native to the New World tropics. He'd like to
be in contact with someone who knows about this plant, especially about its
ecology in its native or introduced home, and what sort of biological
controls might be available for it.
Please reply to him directly at tomstruh at duke.edu
Thanks to all you comp lovers out there.
