Dear all,

By being a native of a non-English-speaking country, I don't see all =
this discussion as a bad thing, even if it is posted in a taxonomy =
discussion group. I have learned a good deal of things just by reading =
some of the lists presented (and two of them are hanging in front of me =
right now-and I'll use them to check my texts). I think other people =
can do the same. I have been revising papers for some scientific =
journals that require the use of English (on taxonomy) and the greatest =
problem I detect is that the authors are NOT really concerned with the =
correct use of this language. Consequently, their descriptions are not =
as clear as they should be. I imagine that, like me, they are actually =
learning some "tricks" and "rules". I think that the discussion is =
excellent, especially if English is to be used as the "universal science =
language". Keep on the discussion, please. In any case, I do have =
several old keyboards and I can "spare" some of the "delete" keys for =
those that considers the discussion inadequate for the list.

Walt
