unknown plant in Miami

Francesco,
     Looks like Sassafras (or a close relative?).  _Sassafras albidum_
leaves are sometimes three-lobed like that, but the middle lobe usually
isn't that large.  But I'm not a botanist, so my experience is limited.
      Are the little white spots some kind of fuzzy scale insect?
