Bioinformatics Distributed Information Systems Programmer
The University of Kansas Natural History Museum and Biodiversity
Research Center seeks a programmer with advanced skills to assist with
the development of infrastructure and interfaces for a global,
distributed information system for biodiversity related resources, and
to assist with the development of analytical and visualization tools to
work with biodiversity information. Required qualifications: degree in
computer science or 3 years relevant programming experience using C++,
VB, Java, C#, PHP, Perl; excellent communications skills; ability to
program database connectivity and cross-browser web applications;
experience programming for NT, Win2000 servers; working knowledge of
COM, .NET. This is a full-time, non-tenure track, grant-funded position
with the university and comes with excellent benefits. Some travel
