Today I gave a mid-term exam to Pre-Technology Students.  Question # 26 reads as follows:

26.  You have before you a piece of tissue, and you are about to drop it into a HYPERTONIC solution.  Will the tissue gain water, lose water, or remain the same?  Explain.  (3 marks)

During the course of the exam, one young lady held up her hand.  I came over, and she asked, 
"Do you mean like Kleenex or something?"

Some days I can't win.
