Dear All,
      Norman Platnick of the American Museum of Natural History (New York
City) apparently gave a very thought-provoking talk this past December.  It
is interesting to see someone from AMNH coming out so strongly against
Phylocode (which he refers to as "propaganda").
      He calls it DePhylocode, which I assume is a "Joycean" way of saying
that Phylocode will "Defile" biological systematics.
     Anyway, he is adding his voice to the growing list of systematists
(including "cladists" sensu lato) who are giving the proposed Phylocode a
big two thumbs down.  I think I will start calling it "DePhylocode" as well.
  Very clever play on words.  If the link below doesn't work for some
reason, go to a search engine and enter the word Dephylocode, and you should
be able to find links in that way as well.
