ASSISTANT PROFESSOR ECOLOGY.
The Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences at Georgia College
& State University, the designated public liberal arts institution for the
state of Georgia, seeks candidates in the area of Ecology.  The university
offers B.S. degrees in Biology and Environmental Science and a M.S. in
Biology.  A Ph.D. in Ecology is required for this tenure-track
position.  The successful candidate will contribute to the new
Environmental Science major and will teach introductory environmental
science and general ecology as well as upper and graduate level courses in
population and community ecology and biostatistics.  We especially seek
candidates with interests in field as well as theoretical ecology who
desire to develop a research program that involves undergraduate student
majors.  Effective teaching, scholarship, and university/community service
are required for promotion and tenure.  Starting salary will be
commensurate with qualifications/experience.  Starting date is August
