On that website, its authors state: "Naming a scientific object in the
frame of the method applied to its analyse results in circular thinking,
and above all hinders the development of alternative methods and the
necessary renewal of scientific concepts." I think this might surprise
chemists, if applied to the periodic table of the elements, since the
analysis (number of protons in the nucleus) completely determines the
classification. Clearly, chemists think they've got it right, and are not
planning for any further analytical shake-ups.
