[Taxacom] Exchange Specimens from Taiwan

Dear All
     Here is the message about the exchange specimen from Herbarium of
Taiwan Forestry Research Institute (TAIF). We are one of the largest and
oldest herbaria in Taiwan. There are more than 250,000 specimen sheets
deposited here. The most of our collections are materials from Taiwan and
nearby islets. Taiwan is a small island located in East Asia, about 160 km
off the coast of mainland China, south of Japan and north of the Philippines
.
It is consisting mostly of rugged mountains.  Although the island between
tropical and subtropical regions, the mountains provides highly divergence
of habitats,.  The various habitats breed more than 4,000 native vascular
plants species in 35,801 square kilometers and near one-fourth (1067
species)
are endemic. We expect to have more other regions/countries plant specimens.

We already prepare about 200 specimens of vascular plants that collected
from
Taiwan and nearby islets be put aside recently. We will send those specimens

to your herbarium after obtain your reply and agreement.
