Dear All,
One of our PhD students, Kanchana Pruesapan, is presently using several
molecular markers to model the phylogeny of the Euphorb genus Sauropus.
Pivotal in this study is the DNA of Sauropus (Synostemon) bacciformis, a
plant found from Mauritius up to the Malay Archipelago. Kanchana tried
to obtain DNA from several dried specimens, but failed, the condition of
the material was too bad. We very much like to obtain silica gel dried
leaf samples of vouchered specimens of this species (or any other
Sauropus or Synostemon species).
Many thanks in advance,
Peter
