Collections Manager - Cryptogams
Salary: £27,500 - £35,000
The Department of Botany, The Natural History Museum, London is currently looking to appoint a Collections Manager to manage and contribute to the team curating the Cryptogamic collections and ensuring their long-term preservation, access and use.
As direct line manager for 3 Curators and a Herbarium Technician you will manage and organize digitization, loans and supervision of visitors.. You will be tasked with contributing to policy development and be expected to deputise for the Head of Group in both departmental and external meetings, bodies and projects.
To be successful you must have a degree in Biological Science (or equivalent), experience in undertaking research and associated field work plus good project management skills. You will have considerable experience of the management of natural history collections as well as a good knowledge of a cryptogamic group.
