Dear Taxacomist,
TDWG, the Biodiversity Information Standards organization, exists to
help people share their biodiversity data.
http://www.tdwg.org/
As part of this work the TDWG Infrastructure Project (http://
www.tdwg.org/activities/tip/) has developed a Technical Survey to:
1. Reach a better understanding of the technical skills of people who
use or may use TDWG standards and literature.
2. Reach a better understanding of the skills and resources available
for the development of new biodiversity data standards and
documentation.
I am sure you appreciate the importance of the exchange of data to
progressing the understanding and conservation of biodiversity. You
can help improve this flow of data by taking the survey. It can be
found at:
http://www.tdwg.org/about-tdwg/surveys/
The survey is mainly tick boxes and will only take 5 to 15 minutes.
The more people involved in biodiversity science who take the survey
the better so if you have colleagues who might make use of TDWG
products in the future, please pass this request to them.
Many Thanks
Roger Hyam
