My iSpecies toy (http://ispecies.org) now displays maps from GBIF
(where they are available), to supplement information on genomics,
literature, and images.
A nice example is Physeter catodon (http://darwin.zoology.gla.ac.uk/
~rpage/ispecies/?q=Physeter+catodon)
For those curious as to how this is done I've blogged it at http://
ispecies.blogspot.com/2007/08/maps-and-google-tweak.html .
Regards
Rod
