I'm no algologist, but I suspect a connection with Laurencia papillosa (Forsk.) Greville. Whether this was an error, or a deliberate "lumping" of genera, I leave to the experts.

Subject: [Taxacom] Ceramium papillosa (Forsk.) AG

Hello all,

I have been unable to find the above binomial, even in www.algaebase.org.
So, we could conclude that this name does not exist and is just an error.
The problem is that it was found on a specimen most probably identified by
W.R. Taylor. Is there somebody acquainted with this name ?
Thanks in advance for any info.

Martin
