[Taxacom] Lectureship in Plant Community Ecology

The School of Biological Sciences, Environmental Biology Section has
advertised a Lectureship in Environmental Biology

"A specialist in Plant Community Ecology is sought who has a strong
track record in field ecology and plant identification with experience
of National Vegetation Classification and vegetation survey in applied
contexts. 

There will be many opportunities to establish research links within and
outside the School in such areas as climate change (the Walker
Institute), environmental biology, entomology, horticulture and
genetics.
Proficiency in the use of multivariate analysis and GIS in vegetation
survey would be an advantage. 
There will be a teaching commitment, including participation in
field-based teaching, especially vegetation survey and analysis at MSc
level. 

During the summer months the successful applicant will spend most of the
time in professional consultancy activities on behalf of the industry
partner."
