No "guarantee" is necessary, obviously. Even a synonym has to be 
cited in perpetuity; you are STILL immortalized, and - if push comes 
to shove - all one has to do is point out that synonymies are not 
formal nomenclatural acts, but merely opinions that one CAN choose to 
ignore.
