Dear colleagues

I would like to draw your attention to some exciting positions at James
Cook University, Australia that were recently advertised. These
positions, two of a total of 17 new positions at up to professorial
level, are for rainforest ecologists in the broadest sense, including
for example systematists and conservation biologists. These
opportunities are attractive for plant systematists in particular with
new Australian Tropical Herbarium, boasting the world's best collection
of Australian tropical rainforest specimens and a new state of the art
molecular laboratory, now established on the Cairns campus of JCU.
Information on the positions and on relevant facilities, research
expertise and infrastructure is at www.jcu.edu.au/tropicalleaders , and
a position statement at www.jcu.edu.au/tropicalleaders/JCUPRD_025950.html

I strongly encourage any interested parties to apply. Initially,
applications are by expression of interest (submit CV and statement of
research interests online - see position statement for details) with
shortlisted applicants invited to submit further information at a later
date.

Best regards

Darren Crayn
