I want to tag a picture of a Common Kingfisher, Alcedo atthis, on
Flickr, using their "machine tag" format:
<http://www.flickr.com/groups/api/discuss/72157594497877875/>
I thought that the tag should be:
taxonomy:binomial=Alcedo atthis
but the specific part in that is ignored because of the space.
I then tried:
taxonomy:binomial=Alcedo-atthis
and:
taxonomy:binomial=Alcedo+atthis
and:
taxonomy:binomial="Alcedo atthis"
but each of those were collapsed to:
taxonomy:binomial=alcedoatthis
which is obviously less than satisfactory.
Can anyone suggest a viable alternative? Or is concatenating genus and
specific acceptable, in such tags?
Is anyone aware of any other schema for tagging using taxonomy?
