The Institute of Systematic Botany of the University of Zurich 
invites applications for the permanent position of Scientific Curator 
of its botanical garden.  The garden supports teaching and research 
at the University, is a public facility, and provides an opportunity 
for botanical outreach activities.  The successful applicant would be 
expected to advise and guide the development and display of the plant 
collections, as well as lead and / or collaborate in the exhibition 
and outreach program of the gardens. He / she will also be expected 
to develop an extra-murally funded research programme, to offer 
graduate and undergraduate courses and supervise graduate students. 
The Institute, which is housed in the botanic gardens, is well 
equipped for morphological, taxonomic and systematic molecular 
research, and includes an excellent library and herbarium, thus 
providing a good research environment.
