[Taxacom] help identify FL cultivated plant

Dear Taxacomers,

We need some help identifying a plant painted by Jessica Tcherepnine, a
botanical artist and member of Brooklyn Botanic Garden Florilegium Society.
Please take a look at the illustration and description and let me know if
you have an identification for this plant:

Limited description (all that is available outside of the illustration):
8-10 foot leafy shrub with glossy green leaves. Leaves dropped after she cut
the stem to bring it back to NY to paint. No evident exudate. Fruits were
hard and ripened from green to red. The plant was growing next to a swimming
pool in Florida.
