The Department of Biology at Saint Mary’s College, a Catholic college 
for women located in Notre Dame, Indiana, invites applications for a 
one-year full-time position as a Visiting Assistant Professor for the 
2008-2009 academic year starting 15 August 2008. The successful 
candidate will teach introductory biology laboratories in the fall 
semester and two lecture sections for an introductory biology course for 
non-majors in the spring. In addition she/he will develop and teach a 
four-credit upper division botany course, with laboratory, in her/his 
area of expertise in the spring semester. The department may open a 
tenure-track position search next year for a botanist/environmental 
biologist. Education at the Ph.D. level is required with teaching 
experience preferred. Send letter of application, curriculum vitae 
including listing of courses taken and taught or unofficial transcript,
