I found the first reference too good to be true so I went hunting.
If the reference in the database is the one listed below, I doubt
they were all described as new!
I do not work on these organisms, nor do I know the reference but
some vetting may be in order.

Resumen:
The Cerambycidae, commonly known as longhorned beetles, logicorns,
capricorns, round-headed borers, timber beetles, goat beetles, or
sawyer beetles, are one of the largest and most varied families in
the Coleoptera, with size alone varying from 2 mm (Cyrtinus sp.) to
180 mm (Titanus sp.). With world-wide distribution whereve woody
plants are found, these wood-borers have long been a favorite with
collectors, and with their great variety of colors and forms, they
are ofter thought of as one of the most esthetically pleasing
families of beetles. The present work includes approximately 8,700
described species and subspecies representing close to 1,500 genera,
found from Canada and Alaska to Argentina and Chile, and throughout
the West Indies (including several species from Costa Rica).
Additional taxa are being described each year by workers in several
countries
