[Taxacom] MSc taxonomy

Appalachian State University Dept. of Biology offers undergraduate 
courses in taxonomy as well as diversity courses in entomology, 
mycology,  vertebrate and invertebrate biology, ornithology, and fish 
diversity.   We are a comprehensive university offering a terminal 
Master's degree (no PhD).  Our Master's program actively recruits 
students interested in taxonomic issues.

I believe there are several comprehensive universities in the southeast 
US that have similar programs with a strong focus on biodiversity.  We 
have formed a network of herbaria in the Southeast called SERNEC 
(SouthEast Regional Network of Expertise and Collections; see 
http://www.sernec.org/) and one of the goals of this network is to 
support taxonomic training at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
