In the real world it has a name ... and taxonomists are the worst
offenders when it comes to publishing "a species name that may or may
not ever be published" - the literature is littered with them ... and
what about Rec. 34A.1 (and Preamble 5) ... ;-)

If it isn't validly published then it *doesn't* have a name.  It's
equally irresponsible to go blaring out global press releases giving a
species name that may or may not ever be published, or may eventually be
described under a different name.
