[Taxacom] Correction: Catalogue of Life, EoL, etc.

just two corrections to my last post:
(1)  where I said 'like in Curculionoidea, where most (but not quite all!)
endemic New Zealand genera are missing', I meant to say 'like in Curculionoidea,
where most (but not quite all!) of the endemic New Zealand Anthribidae genera
are missing'
(2) 'Also, since this particular error didn't originate in the source database'
- it now looks like it did, but it doesn't change much ... the end user still
ends up with it in their lap ...

Stephen

Dear Neal,

My apologies for casting aspersions, they were intended only to be
instructional, but actually I did check before typing that line, of course...

http://130.225.211.25/diptera/names/FMPro?-db=names.fp5&-format=nomenclatordetail.html&-lay=www%20detail&-sortfield=unsorted&Name=Culex%20jalisco&-max=10&-recid=12683823&-find=

gives family Tabanidae for that species (Culex jalisco Berlin, 1974), while
others are correctly in Culicidae - sorry.

Or maybe that is an old record somehow, but it still tallies with what is in CoL
2010 online version...

Regards - Tony
