[Taxacom] Catalogue of Life, EoL, etc.

Curiously, the Tabanidae reference isn't the only stuff-up on that Diptera names 
record used as the data source for CoL, etc! They also cite the wrong subgenus 
of Culex - even in the title of the reference!! The correct details, with a PDF 
link to the original reference, can be seen here:

Dear Neal,

My apologies for casting aspersions, they were intended only to be 
instructional, but actually I did check before typing that line, of course...

gives family Tabanidae for that species (Culex jalisco Berlin, 1974), while 
others are correctly in Culicidae - sorry.

Or maybe that is an old record somehow, but it still tallies with what is in CoL 
2010 online version...
