The 18th International Botanical Congress (IBC2011) will be held in
Melbourne, Australia, 23-30 July, 2011. The deadline for poster
abstracts and early registration is Feb. 1.

The American Society of Plant Taxonomists (ASPT) and the Botanical
Society of America (BSA) are offering travel awards to to students,
postdocs, and early career faculty (in first 3 years of first faculty
position) to help offset the cost of attending for those who will
benefit most from participating. To be eligible for a travel award
you must be either presenting a poster or speaking in a symposium.
Priority will be given to Society members. Membership rates for both
societies are modest, with discounted rates for students and
postdocs.
