2012 ASBS Conference, 23–28 September, Perth, Western Australia

Registrations are now open for Conference, which will be held in Perth, Western Australia, from September 23–28. Presentations on all aspects of systematic research are welcomed.

The conference theme “Local knowledge, global delivery” is inspired by the recent, landmark decision to allow electronic publication of new taxa. Presentations on biodiversity informatics, web-based collaborations, electronic publishing and eFloras are invited in particular, but we also encourage consideration of local endemism, pollination ecology and threats to biodiversity such as climate change and plant pathogens.

The conference coincides with the height of spring flowering in the south-west of Western Australia, providing a strong incentive to make the long journey. It is also an excellent opportunity to visit the new Western Australian Herbarium, which has recently moved to a state-of-the-art facility within the Western Australian Conservation Science Centre.

We hope to see you in Perth!
