Publication dates from the online publication. Online pub has an ISSN number. The PDF is irrelevant so far as formal publication of the name is concerned.

No, I don't have a problem with it at all! I am just trying to find out if this is "published" according to the ICBN, of which I know little. The situation here is analogous to how they publish EarlyView in Systematic Entomology, but the ICBN rules may be different. Does it matter that the PDF will change when it gets assigned to an issue and paginated?

Cheers, Stephen

Looks good to me.  Names, detailed descriptions, holotypes specified, Mycobank number, date of publication stated: August 22, 2012.  As a bonus, lots of illustrations and sequence data. Do you have a problem with it? If so, what is it?
Mary
