I think the problem is that although CoL comes out with a nominally new edition every year, that doesn't mean that all of the source databases have been harvested again ...

Dear Armand,

I suggest you check the website - http://www.catalogueoflife.org/.  You will find reference to the latest dynamic checklist published on 28th January 2013 and the Annual Checklist 2012 linked from the home page.  The 2013 checklist is not due out until later this year (as usual).  Unlike road atlases in the UK where the next years version is available about 6 months before the year starts we prefer to avoid predicting the future :-)  You can also obtain the 2012 edition as a DVD ROM.

The Catalogue is currently being developed under the EU i4Life project www.i4Life.eu and has active links with the with ENA initiative via its global coordination team.  It's a highly used resource - see http://blogs.reading.ac.uk/crg/2013/01/24/an-introduction-to-the-catalogue-of-life/.

For those who follow Facebook we have recently launched a Facebook site http://www.facebook.com/pages/Catalogue-of-Life/102621393156622 to help keep people up to date with current news and a Twitter feed @catalogueoflife that you are welcome to follow.

We do try to let people know what we are doing (Web, Facebook, Twitter, meetings) and we are very much alive!

All the best,

Alastair Culham
i4Life Coordinator

Just want to know if this project is still alive? The last annual
checklist download is from 2011.
